John sat in the vet’s office, tears streaming down his face as he held his beloved dog, Max, in his arms.

Max had been with John for over 10 years, and had been his constant companion and faithful friend through good times and bad. But now, as Max lay sick and weak, John knew that it was time to say goodbye.

As the vet gently explained the options, John’s heart broke. He knew that he couldn’t bear to see Max suffer any longer, and he reluctantly made the decision to let him go.
